COVID-19

We're socially distanced, not distant...

OREV is responding to the COVID-19 outbreak. We’re still here, doing our best to prioritize and treat cases promptly.

As we monitor and adjust to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we are taking steps to decrease exposure and transmission of the virus. Our primary focus is the health and safety of our clients, patients, and staff.

Steps we're taking:

  • We have stringent, high frequency cleaning/disinfecting protocols, to ensure public and treatment areas are sanitized thoroughly and frequently. OREV's staff has been educated on CDC guidelines for personal safety, monitoring their own and their family's health, as well as minimizing their exposure both at work and outside of the clinic.
  • Frequent hand washing and sanitizing is strictly enforced. COVID-19 educational info has been posted in multiple locations in our clinic.
  • We're prepared to assist ill clients with rescheduling or alternative appointments.
  • Per the World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations, we are limiting person-to-person contact including wearing a mask, no handshaking and providing ample personal space (3-6 feet) when speaking in person.

We ask our clients the following:

  1. When you come for your scheduled appointment, please stay in your car and call us at 503-477-7122, letting us know of your arrival. Please make sure you have your phone charged before the appointment.
  2. One of our staff member will take a brief history and will come to take your pet ( with our in-hospital leash) to be examine by our doctors.
  3. A follow up discussion with our specialists will take place in our clinic or over the phone (that will be determined on case-by-case basis. At this time, if entering the clinic, only ONE person will be allowed in the room; any additional family member will be able to join the conversation via phone (family and friends must remain in the car).
  4. Upon entering our lobby you must wear a mask. If you don't have one we will provide you with a mask.
  5. Please utilize hand sanitizer or wash your hands before and after your appointment.
  6. Please avoid close contact to help minimize the risk for all involved. Maintain 6' distance from others.
  7. All exam rooms will be clean and disinfected after every appointment. Please be patient as we try to reduce exposure to and transmission of the virus.
  8. If you are ill, please have a friend or family member come to the appointment, while you focus on recovery at home. Postpone the appointment if necessary due to being sick.

COVID-19 and pets:

Infectious disease experts and international and domestic animal health organizations agree there is no evidence, at this point, to indicate that pets can be infected with or spread COVID-19 to other animals or humans. Regardless, it’s always a good idea to wash your hands after being around animals.

It is recommended that if you do become ill, you should limit contact with all animals; Have another member of your household take care of walking, feeding, and playing with your pet. If you have a service animal or you must care for your pet, then wear a facemask; don’t share food, kiss, or hug them; and wash your hands before and after any contact with them.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience, as we work to make our community as healthy and safe as possible!

Please contact us anytime with any questions.
Sincerely, The OREV team!
